Border Sessions is a yearly technology conference and a year-round lab aimed to kick-start and fuel challenging ideas, experiments and endeavours with a strong focus on multidisciplinary projects. We unite creative and critical minds from around the globe who share the belief that technology should be a powerful instrument for positive change.
Every edition of Border Sessions you get to meet new partners and collect new experiences and ideas. We present and discuss our work, merge our networks, tinker with new instruments and materials, celebrate our successes and launch our next missions.
New year-round platform for co-creation Border Labs will kick off the festival on Wednesday the 28th of June with five temporary labs spread across downtown The Hague. On June 29 and 30 the Border Sessions conference takes place. Get inspired, interact and co-create together with 100+ speakers and a 1200+ international community of thinkers, designers, scientists, makers, business developers and innovators. Former speakers include Evgeny Morozov, Bruce Sterling, Robert D. Kaplan, Douglas Rushkoff, Paul Collier, Gaia Vince, Manfred Spitzer, Peter Sunde, Andrew Keen.
This year The Border Labs Award 2017 is introduced, a global prize that celebrates dedication, creativity and courage leading to innovations that have had a significant impact on society and how we use or think about technology.
